Mexico  Dear Dad:  Without a letter from you to which to refer, I communicate to you that since Saturday the 26th of  the present month I took on the little business which I had indicated to you was being offered to  me. It is comprised of a little  house, [419 N. Bunker Hill Ave.] nine garages and the store [805 California Street] which  altogether costs me $40 of rent, and I also [get income] by renting out the garages on my own.  The merchandise and accessories were bought for $1,000 dollars; of which I have made a down  payment [$500] and agreed to pay the rest on a monthly basis of $50 dollars.  I don't believe it will be bad although one alone cannot do very much because it is impossible for  Lola to help me and neither would I accept ….[rest is missing].  I will let you know how things progress.  May God care for all of you during these sad days which our country is passing through, and  may He give us the necessary resignation.
