Mex. My Dear Dad: I have been favored with your letter dated the 3rd of this month to which I have the pleasure of referring in this letter. Everyone here is very glad for the improvement that my mom has had recently and it pleases us that the new house you have rented contains all the advantages that you refer to in your letter. The determination that you all have taken regarding the establishment of your own business is duly noted. Due to the actual circumstances, it is better to proceed with caution, you have thought it out very well; because if Francisco has his job, then there is no need to push yourselves to the limit. Guillo has improved from his illness and we hope he will continue improving, God willing, now that he is taking medicine for his recuperation. i wrote to Favier telling them not to be alarmed and for them to continue waiting more time and it seems that for now they are accepting this, although they do not leave me alone. The person who loaned me the money to establish this little business fears that my creditors will go after him and he asks me for a guarantee. i will probably transfer the store to him in order to cover the principal but i will continue making payments with whatever is left after expenses. The Lebre House has yet to provide proof [an itemized list?] of the merchandise collected by them and i suspect that instead of crediting my account, they are keeping it to pay themselves interest on my debit. i have already written them regarding this and they have not answered me. it would help me very much if Francisco could approach them and ask in my name for a current statement of my account. I hope that all of you continue in good health and receive the affectionate greetings from Lola and the children. We now have photos of the baby [Teresa] and we only need to send them by mail. Your son who asks for your blessing, M. Venegas"},{"label":"Is Part Of","value":"Venegas Family Papers, Collection Number 99, Series 1. Subseries A.
