October 28, 1929  Mr. Juan Venegas  Guad.  My Dear Dad:  I have the pleasure of knowing about you through a letter I received from Francisco. This is in  response to your letter dated the 7th of the present month that I had not been able to answer  notwithstanding my desire to do so every day.  You tell me that you now have a house with better accommodations for which I am very happy  and you well deserve it, since there are so many of you now. We are also very glad to know  Lucita [Alfonso's daughter] is already with you which is what we had wanted very much. Lola is  very happy about it and more so now that we understand she will continue staying with you; I  believe that the child could not receive greater benefit than to be educated in the environment  breathed there with you. We feel great affection towards her, as if she concentrated all the  affection that we had for Alfonso, who we will probably have to wait a little longer before we  can see him again.  We are very happy to know of the good health that my mother is enjoying, and may God grant it  for a long time.  I appreciate the information given about my pending affairs. I have already proceeded to contact  my attorney, whom I wish to know if he still works at the same place as the lawyer Coronado  and would you send me the address.  I expect news about my affairs with Mercantil and could Pancho please ask there, if, by any  chance don Luciano has rented to them like he said at the beginning. Would uncle Regino be a  good choice to whom to rent the lands? Or should I ask D. primitivo about this?  Regards to Luis Álvarez whenever you see him and the same to don Jesús Ruiz whom I would  like to write to if I knew the place he intends to go which surely must be the capital.  We received Lucita's picture and we regret the illness of Doña María whom we hope will  recuperate, please send our regards to Cuca, Eliza, and the Dávila family.
