He was one of three Ayala siblings who was awarded to the custody of his teen-aged sister Agapita and her husband Sisto Sierra the year before. When Ramoncito passed away on November 17, 1924, from pneumonia, Agapita returned to the court to request custody of an additional sibling who had remained in foster care.\n\nThe Ayala family first lived on Naud Street.
