I wasn't sure you had  received my letters and that is why I had not answered you. You tell me in your last letter that  the family is in good health, for which we are glad and our family is also doing well, thank God.  Perhaps by now you have received Lola's letter that she wrote to my mother. Here we have had  some magnificent Misiones [religious sermons held at La Placita Church], which we attended  with great satisfaction.  I cannot give you any more news from Soledad, because I wrote to her a long time ago and she  has not answered. As for Alfonso, I know even less, but I believe that soon at last the unknown  will be revealed.  Lola is very grateful that you all remembered her on her feast day, and it brought her great  pleasure to receive greetings on the occasion.  After reading your letter dated the 13th of February I wrote to Anita asking her to give you the  money left over from the exchange that I made with my compadre Federico, but from what I see,  you haven't received anything, otherwise you would have told me so.  I will now try to figure out how to resolve this matter which appears to have a hidden agenda.  With nothing more and with regards to my mom and dad and the rest of my brothers and sisters,  your brother says goodbye.
