The dances sometimes served as the Spring Formal around the time of apple blossoms, giving the dance its name. This event was also designated as a \"Co-Ed\" Dance, simply impling that the event was hosted or sponsored by the Co-Ed organization on campus, which was also known as the women's organization.The Apple Blossom Dance was held at Gettysburg College on May 7, 1937. Music for the event was provided by the Blue Moon Orchestra. The dance committee included Elizabeth Weaver (Chairman), Natalie Sims, Ortha Taylor, Marianne Hultberg, Audrey Harrison, and Gertrude Enck. Chaperones for the event included Dr. and Mrs. H.W. A. Hanson, Dean and Mrs. W.E. Tilberg, Dr. and Mrs. Charles Huber, Prof. and Mrs. C.
