It was built at the site of the First Temple on Mount Moriah, or the Temple Mount. *Conrad Schick (1822-1901) was a German-born architect, missionary, and archaeologist who spent most of his life in Jerusalem. Schick built a number of detailed models of historical and religious sites in the city.
