B.Reese [seal)\" The probable place of sale was Williamson County, Tennessee, which was founded in 1799, and named after Hugh Williamson, a North Carollina politician who signed th Constitution. Beverly Reese and his wife emigrated from Virginia after his slave-owner father died there in 1813. A nephew of the same name who remained in Virginia was a doctor, a Princeton graduate who served as a Confederate surgeon during the Civil War. It's uncertain which relative, still another \"B.
