Book cloth is from a discarded library book from 1935\"--Colophon. ; \"This book started with a slow collection of due date cards from withdrawn library books after witnessing the emotional reaction from patrons towards weeded books regardless of their condition. The cards where then used for a color study of madder root dye to give them a second life. Reflecting on the repetitive process of book binding, fiber art, and library work, the word withdrawn has been machine embroidered on each of the due date cards mimicking the function of the withdrawn library stamp. Matching the color of the madder root dye, and subject matter, a discarded library book has been repurposed for the cover's book cloth - 'The Romance of the Patchwork Quilt in America,' 1935.
