Not on your life says Pat O'Brien the turk belongs to me, The lovely bird ain't sayin' a word he owes no odds to ye ; Down in his kick went Pat O'Brien his words I now repeat, Ye'll not disturb that turkey bird, I'll pay for the turkey's seat. A lady soon got on and sat dirictly opposite to Pat she wore beneath he Opera wrap a dress cut decolete The car was warm so much so that the lady soon removed her wrap disclosing to the gaze of Pat a lovely neck to see ; Pat was soon admiring her neck and shoulders fair, The lady she got angry at Paddy's ardent stare ; When she couldn't stand it longer, And she replaced her wrap, And when she shouted \"rubber neck\" she look'd right straight at Pat. Not on your life says Pat O'Brien it's a dollar to a dime, Begob says he it looked to me surely genuine ; But if it isn't says Pat O'Brien as sure as me name is Pat, It's a damn good imitation you can bet your life on that. Two ladies who sat next to Pat both much amused decided that they'd have a little fun with Pat so one of them she says, To ride in cars I never care you meet so many Irish there they're enough to drive you to despair they have such vulgar ways ; \" 'Tis true says lady number two they're always in the way, From where the Irish do resort I always stay away ; You'll meet them at the seashore, The op'ra, ball or show, Yes you'll meet the vulgar Irish now, no matter where you go.\" Not on your life says Pat O'Brien you could see that he was mad, How to rid your selves of the Irish now to tell yez I'll be glad ; Then he grabb'd his turkey did Pat O'Brien and blustered like a bear, \"To hell\" says he, with both of ye and you'll find no Irish there. Poor Paddy soon fell fast asleep the whiskey had gone to his head he snored as if he was in bed his arm around his bird, At Sixth Avenue and Thirty Fourth there got on board a colored sport he'd a rooster of the fighting sort a game cock 'pon my word ; 'Twas then the boys proposed a joke they stole O'Brien's turk, And put the rooster in it's place before O'Brien woke ; Soon Paddy he was startled, For the cock began to crow, And as at the rooster Paddy stared, he was heard to make this vow. Stop the car yelled Pat O'Brien 'tis not the snakes I've got, Never again as long as I live will I ever touch a drop ; Oh \"Meilia murther\" roared O'Brien as though the door he shot, I've had the
