He came home on Sunday morning and he challenged me to fight, And my bran new Sunday clothes he borrowed looked an awful sight says he to me \"I hate you Flynn for the way you put on airs\" with that he smashed me in the mouth and I fell down the stairs. Rafferty has had his fling it's my turn next to fight I'll go and get a load on and I'll challenge him tonight I think that I'm a better man than he e'er dared to be And I'll make him rue the day he tried to make a mop of me. When ev'ry one went back on him and he didn't have a friend 'Twas me that stuck to him like glue on that he did depend But now I'm on the warpath and just in fighting trim So I thought I'd call on Rafferty and here's what I done for him.
