The Devil is around... was edited by ALTERnativa Ediciones, and is part of the homonymous project of the Michoacan University of Saint Nicholas of Hidalgo. It includes engravings by Diego Leonardo Rivas Venegas [and 9 others]. The ten-line stanzas are from Araceli Jennifer Padilla Olvera [and 5 others]. The English version of the then-line [that is, ten-line] stanzas is by Ever Rodriguez, the P'urhepecha versions are by Ismael Garcia Marcelino, and the introduction is based on text fragments from Maria de los Angeles Valencia and Cederik Leon de Leon. This second edition consists of five author proof books and 25 signed and numbered copies, and it was concluded in the city of Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico, in 2020. Printing techniques included linoleum engravings by hand and letterpress on De Ponte Tamayo 300 gms paper, by Impronta Casa Editora, in Guadalajara, Jalisco. The binding was done in a case binding style bound in linen with screen-printing, and the edition was supervised by Ioulia Akhmadeeva, Raul Eduardo Gonzalez and Celeste Jaime--Colophon (English version) ; In Spanish, with English and Purepecha translations ; colophon in Spanish and English. ; The Devil has been seen as the enemy of humanity, as that which represents the undesirable, corruption, low instincts, perdition, the most vile and cruel. However, he has been an inseparable companion of human nature, which cannot be separated from everything he represents...
