They date between 1915 and 1935. All required extensive clean-up in Photoshop. The grayscale images were converted to tritones using Pantones 363, 200 and Yellow. They were converted to RGB for printing on an Epson C88+. The Virginia map on the back of the concertina was scanned from another antique shop atlas from the same period as the diary--Colophon. ; Hedi Kyle's flag book structure, attached to illustrated paper over boards on either side. Paper is Cougar Opaque 80# cover. ; Typefaces used are FF Mister K for the script and Borutta Group's Adagio Serif for the colophon. ; Inspired by my grandmother-in-law's life experiences, I have started a series of books examining the lives of farming families and farming practices during her lifetime, drawing upon biographical as well as historical accounts ... This first book draws upon the anonymous entries in one of three journals discovered in the Red School House Antiques shop outside Oakland, Maryland.
