It is designed to help urban readers from all walks of like find those birds that might be appreciated a little closer or identify birds that are best viewed only from a distances. The text was edited by Judith Grubner. Student contributors to this effort were Mike Lesniak, illustrator, and Sonia Vaynerman, press assistant. This book was printed on a 1947 Vandercook IV letterpress using Wausau Exact Office Natural 70# text paper. Text is set (digitally) in 11 pt. Minion regular and heads and subheads in 12 and 14 pt. Myriad bold.
