Burbank graduated from Williams College in 1857 and graduated from Union Theological Seminary, May, 1860. He married Sarah Susannah Van Vleck of New York City on July 3, 1860. Served under the auspices of the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions in Turkey between 1860 and 1870. In 1870 he became the pastor of the Congregational church in Herndon, Va. He moved to Georgetown, Custer County, Neb. in 1880 and served as a pastor and doctor. He moved to Denver, Colo. in 1894 and to Fresno, Calif. in 1897, where he became the pastor of an Armenian Congregational church. He moved to San Francisco, Calif. in 1903. He moved in 1906, after being burned out by the 1906 earthquake, and returned to Fresno.
