Erected in 1704 as a parsonage for Rev. John White, a few years after used as a tavern, until 1740 when it was sold to Capt. Wm. Ellery, who continued it as a house of entertainment several years. See 13914a. \nThe Annisquam River is a tidal river and in this photograph the tide is high.
