The virus has affected her in a variety of ways, like taking a semester off from school, but she's not worried about certain stressors because of privilege. As for family, there is tension due to differences in handling the pandemic; her parents are high-risk, her brother has caught COVID-19, and her grandparents are lonely. Her friends and Twitter have kept her going - she knows she's not alone. This radicalizing moment helps her keep going and hopeful for the future. She hopes people learn from this that capitalism is awful, all jobs are important, there should be a higher minimum wage, that service workers should be treated like humans, and that the empathy level in this country is raised.
