He was not known to be a militant and his body was never found. Rafiqa has no intention of remarrying and cares for her four children by taking cleaning jobs in the neighborhood. At one time, Rafiqa went to shrines to seek solace from prayer but has lost hope of ever seeing her husband again and no longer goes. She is a member of the Association of Parents of Disappeared Persons (APDP).
