Minamoto Yoshitsune is the famous military commander of the Minamoto Clan in the late Heian and Kamakura periods that during the Genpei wars was able to topple the Ise-Heishi Branch of the Taira clan. He is considered one of the most popular warrior of his era and also generally from Japanese history.
