Print No. 89 in the series. Depicts Yokobue who was an attendant of Empress Kenreimonin in the 12th century. Yokobue fell in love with a young guard, but her father disapproved of the match. The guard became a monk and changed his name so that when Yokobue tried to visit him he could send a note saying that the person she was looking for was not at the temple. In the print we see the moment Yokobue is heartbroken and turns to go back down the mountain. In the version of the story in Heike Monogatari she becomes a nun but in the later Yokobue Soshi the story ends with her throwing herself into the Oi River and her lover finding her drowned."},{"label":"Date created (EDTF)","value":"D:00 M:00 Y:1890"},{"label":"Date created","value":"1890"},{"label":"Creator role","value":["Artist"]},{"label":"Creator","value":["Tsukioka Yoshitoshi/月岡 芳年 (Signature: Yoshitoshi ga/芳年画)"]},{"label":"Identifier - Local","value":"Moore_Ukiyo-e_0004"},{"label":"Extent","value":"1 file"}],"description":"Moon at Horin Temple: Yokobue","sequences":[{"@type":"sc:Sequence","canvases":[{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/american/iiif/16d56577-1f30-4bb8-9922-426b7ad8203d/canvas/_1","@type":"sc:Canvas","label":"Moon at Horin Temple: Yokobue","height":5897,"width":3947,"images":[{"@type":"oa:Annotation","motivation":"sc:painting","resource":{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/american/iiif/16d56577-1f30-4bb8-9922-426b7ad8203d/full/full/0/default.jpg","@type":"dctypes:Image","format":"image/jpeg","service":{"@context":"http://iiif.io/api/image/2/context.json","@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/american/iiif/16d56577-1f30-4bb8-9922-426b7ad8203d","profile":"http://iiif.io/api/image/2/level2.json","tiles":[{"width":2048,"scaleFactors":[1,2,4]}]},"height":5897,"width":3947},"on":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/american/iiif/16d56577-1f30-4bb8-9922-426b7ad8203d/canvas/_1","metadata":[]}],"thumbnail":{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/american/iiif/16d56577-1f30-4bb8-9922-426b7ad8203d/full/500,500/0/default.jpg","@type":"dctypes:Image","height":500,"width":500}}]}],"thumbnail":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/american/iiif/16d56577-1f30-4bb8-9922-426b7ad8203d/full/500,500/0/default.jpg","logo":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/american/iiif/logo"}
