An indoor scene marked by the inclusion of decorated sliding screens on along the right edge and the upper left corner. There are various items around the room including a koto leaned against the wall on the left, a small tea kettled on the floor in the center, and a large warming basin on the right. At the center are the two main courtesans mention in the title, one is kneeling and showing a box of scrolls to the other woman standing. On either side of the women are apprentices and kamuro. Once again great attention is given to the colors and patterns of the clothing.
